TOKYO (Nikkei)--Global shipments of electronic components by Japanese manufacturers fell 7% to 273 billion yen in October, a 10thconsecutive month of year-on-year declines, according to industry data.
Demand for parts used in televisions and personal computers has remained sluggish amid the global economic slowdown.
The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association released the data Tuesday.
